Holland Cruise Lines

The decision to choose a living tree has grown in New Jersey there are many. You can choose to cut the tree or choose a live tree and cut for you, or buy a living tree already cut or buy a living tree you canSystem.

Holland Cruise Lines

To extend the experience of having a meeting of family fun, you can venture out of a Christmas tree farm, sleigh rides, hay wagon events and their characteristics and winter fun.

Holland Cruise Lines

A freshly cut Christmas tree not only provides warmth, beauty and rich scents of the season at home, but during the holidays, when given proper care.

Christmas trees are a renewable resource. I grew up as crops planted, sheared and grown to be harvested for yourHave fun! Where every tree was felled, a seedling will be planted. Christmas tree farms offer not only beautiful green spaces in New Jersey, but are also environmentally friendly. They consume large amounts of carbon dioxide and the reintroduction of large amounts of oxygen in the atmosphere, in order to clean the air we breathe. An acre of Christmas trees produces the daily oxygen requirements for 18 people.

Choosing a Christmas tree alive

WhenThe choice of a tree, choose the best suited to your needs. Determine where in the apartment, and what kind of jewelry - they are heavy or light? These considerations will help you select the species, size, shape and density. Among the different types of Christmas trees grown in New Jersey, the best choice for removing pine needles are all, Austrian, Scotch, white and Mexican border. Douglas, concolor and Fraser fir are excellent. ColoradoBlue Spruce is very good, and white pine and Norway are fair.

It 'difficult to measure the height of the trees in the region. Check with the Christmas tree farm, they usually have measuring sticks available. Even if you do not cut the tree exactly once with the ground, and you need a cut in more than a little 'off the bottom of the tree when you get home, there will be about four inches and the top piece are four inches shorter Long the final level on your tree. Therefore, it isrecommends that it is a tree that is slightly shorter than the ceiling height you choose.

The care of live Christmas tree

In a few simple steps, you can enjoy your tree for the holiday season!

A freshly cut tree to take home to move to the interior decoration should be placed in a container with water in a cool and shaded from the wind. If kept outside, make sure the water does not freeze. Before you takeInside, cut an inch from the end blunt. These fresh cut flowers, is the tree to absorb water. Place the tree in a holder that can hold 1-2 gallons of water. From freshly cut trees to absorb one quart of water per day, water levels checked at least once a day and always to stop the water level above the cut. Hold the bulb of the tree in water. If it's water for more than a few hours, the joint SAP-cut the trunk and does not absorb water. Keep a treewas filled with water to prevent the abandonment of syringes and extend the freshness and color of the structure.

Choose a location in your home that is not there to fill a fireplace with heat pipes or radiator. Place the tree among the trees with plastic netting on. This makes it easy to move and stretch shaft. Compensation can be removed once the tree is set.

The tree takes a few hours to return to its original shape once the power has been removed. Fill the stand with water. The first hot-fillor hot water is beneficial.

Planting trees care and balled and burlap.

If you have a concentration of jute (dug) Christmas tree, a few days before being brought in elected, must be in a heated chamber (farm, garage, carport, basement) or on the northern side of the place of being at home. This conditioning is the tree for the effects of temperature and humidity fluctuations that occur rapidly in it. Firstto bring the tree home, put them in a laundry tub or similar airtight container. In order to stabilize the sand or gravel can be filled around the root ball. Keep damp mound, about half a liter is a liter of water each day to get a tree 5 feet to 6 feet. Ideally, a plan to dig a well in the room, 65-68 degrees and not take more than 7 days.

After a tree has been removed, it will bring you directly to the outside. If possible, the gradual introduction of the coldestTemperature by placing the first of a protected area for several days. The hole where the tree should be planted at a depth of approximately 18 cm are dug, placed in front of the ice and soil from the inside, where they freeze. Fill the hole with leaves and cover with plastic. Do not remove the burlap and strapping, before planting. Tree was placed after (above the rootball should be even with the quality of the original soil), feeding tube, half way - with stored in the soil, cuttingStrapping, canvas roll and fill the hole. A piece of plastic cover is treated the same way, except that, before sowing, the slots must be cut in the bottom half of plastic - which facilitates drainage and root penetration. Water well and mulch.

Disposal and recycling your Christmas tree.
The removal and recycling of Christmas trees with your local municipality, which usually offer recycling programs are coordinated. Treesmust be reduced to mulch and made available free to homeowners. These trees can also be in your garden where the birds use it either as protection or as a winter feeding site when food is hung from the branches can be placed.

Holland Cruise Lines

Christopher Good morning and thank you for the invitation to be acceptedrespondents.

NORM:

Please tell our readers something about yourself, your skills and
Books you've written.

Christophe:

I grew up and was in England, where I began my international travels while studying geography at the University of formation. After moving to California in 1980, I worked briefly in the adventure travel industry. I have a full time writer and professional photographer travel 1982

Although in my career, I specialized in earlyAdventure Travel, and Asia / Pacific over the past 15 years I have specialized in the Caribbean, with special attention Cuba and passion for my love affair with Cuba began with the publication of my Moon Handbooks Cuba and Moon Handbooks Havana .

Motorcycling through Castro's Cuba, a journal of literary journey, the two Lowell Thomas Award as Travel Book of the year and won the trip to North America: I have since written National Geographic Traveler: Cuba and Fidel Mi MotoJournalists Association Grand Prix. My most recent book is Cuba Classics: A Celebration of American cars vintage (Interlink Books, 2004), a lavishly illustrated picture book.

I have written many other books, including Lonely Planet guide to Jamaica and the Bahamas and Turk & Caicos and Jamaica passport illustrated guide. I have also written about Jamaica (and other Caribbean islands and international destinations) for dozens of major magazinesand travel sections of newspapers, even as a regular contributor skywriting (in-flight magazine of Air Jamaica) and Caribbean Travel & Life.

My experience of other large in relation to Costa Rica. My first guidebook was the Moon Handbook Costa Rica (Costa Rica as the first textbook published in 1992), now in its fifth edition, with nearly 100,000 copies sold. I have since written National Geographic Traveler Costa Rica and soon-to-be-published eyewitness travel guide to Costa Rica(Dorling Kindersley) and as a consultant for Intel, which recently opened a production plant in Costa Rica has acted.

In January and againI will be lectures on old cars in Cuba aboard Holland America Cruise Line's M / V Maasdam.

More details on my career as a writer and books can be found on my website.

NORM:

Where is Jamaica and could our readers something about them in the context of climate change activities can be an experience, torque etc.

Christophe:

Jamaica is located south of Cuba in the western Caribbean. It 'was for many centuries under British administrationSets and maintains close relations with the United Kingdom since independence in 1962. Jamaica is one of the most distinctive islands in the Caribbean, particularly as the birthplace of Rastafarianism, which permeates the culture and the music's most famous native of the island of Bob Marley.

Although framed by the coastal plains and sandy beaches, Jamaica is predominantly mountainous. To the east of the Blue Mountains (known for the famous coffee grown here) rise to 7402 meters. Despiteits relatively small size, the island offers several distinct climatic zones: the mountainous north, centered on the old port of shipment of bananas from Port Antonio, receives abundant rainfall and very high, while the relatively flat center south side, centered on Treasure Beach, lies in the rain shadow and the predominant vegetation is cactus and thorny shrubs.

Jamaica is very well developed in terms of assets. Visitors can choose from water skiing, diving, and sunset boatTravel by mountain biking, safari crocodile, and horseback riding.

NORM:

Want to Jamaica a good choice for a romantic getaway or wedding and honeymoon? Why?

Christophe:

Jamaica is proud to be a perfect wedding and honeymoon. Many resorts specialize in this market. Some, such as sandals and SuperClubs (both known for their all-inclusive, couples only resorts) even offer free wedding packages. The all-inclusive concept was born inJamaica and no other destination has developed and successfully marketed the concept.

I love this all-inclusive resorts, which are operated at very high levels. However, my favorite romantic sunset at the other end of the spectrum, small hotel offers a combination of ultra-chic ambience and intimacy that is synonymous with romance. Jamaica also features, designed with local entrepreneur Chris Blackwell Iceland and inviting some of the group Outpostcool boutique hotel in the world. They draw notables from Naomi Campbell to Pierce Brosnan, but fortunately they are surprisingly affordable.

NORM:

What is the best time to visit Jamaica in the context
time, cost, quantity and availability of flights from the United States, Canada
and Europe?

Christophe:

Weather wise, there are only two seasons: rainy (May to November) and dry (December-April). The best time to visit is during the dry season, when precipitation in aMinimum and most of the bathrooms on the island under the sun.

In the long rainy summer afternoon showers or heavy rains are typical island wide. Several days or even weeks during the summer of uninterrupted rain also possible, however, especially in the north, although this varies from year to year. Summer and fall are also hurricane season, even though the odds of a hurricane actually striking the island is relatively small.

All that being said, most research has been done by my advisors summerwhich has the advantage of lower prices and less people in the most popular tourist destinations such as Negril and Montego Bay. Service flight to Jamaica, which is served by scheduled and charter, depending on season two, even if every day all year from across Canada and the United States. The best airline deals out of season in summer.

NORM:

And 'safe to travel to Jamaica?

Christophe:

The first time hitchhiking in Jamaica in 1978 andspent almost 30 years traveling the island without unnecessary problems.

Security issues should not deter visitors to the elections in Jamaica, except in moments of difficulty. However, the reputation of Jamaica as dangerous according to the sad reality for many.

The first is the prevalence of drugs and violence in Jamaican society, which is always associated to negotiate an ever-present power. Almost every visitor can expect approached to buy drugsAt some time during their holidays.

In places like Negril, drugs, constant prayer, remember, can sexual favors, or services similar in appearance (or actually) aggressive cheaters and is difficult to buy one of the reasons that the localities have been equally successful.

For its part, the Jamaica Tourist Board has cracked under pressure in the two other tourist destinations, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios. I discuss how this can best lonely planet in handAdvisor.

The other aspect that must be addressed, which is guide to anger, quick to anger nature of much of Jamaican society. The local temperament can be particularly volatile, and resolution of disputes is often sought through violence.

Many areas of Kingston are completely safe for visitors without an escort. But all this paints a very dark point of view of potential visitors.

The other part of the Jamaican population comprises the most graciousand friendly people you could meet, and standards of service in most hotels is world class, thanks to the efforts and example, through training programs and the range of Sandals and SuperClubs, their influence at the national level well beyond the area of tourism.

NORM:

Could you involved our readers an idea of the cost if the trip
comes from the U.S. or Canada and is available to fly to Jamaica?

Christophe:

Jamaicadirectly served by the major hubs and cities across Canada and the United States. Serving the most flights to Montego Bay, often traveling to Kingston. There are great differences in air fares, especially between seasons, and if you fly midweek or weekend.

For scheduled non-stop weekend in high season rates start at about $ 500 Miami $ 650 New York, and $ 750 in Los Angeles. Low rate obtained if visitors choose flights that require planeChanges on the road.

Air Jamaica, the national airline, offers low-cost airline and is an exceptionally well run with excellent service. Charter operators offer flights from major urban centers at prices about 10-20% below regular flights. The cheapest deals are package including airfare and hotel accommodation, offered by charter operators.

NORM:

If you had six people in Jamaica to an incomparable selection
A romantic getaway, wedding or honeymoonGoals, what would be and why?

Christophe:

* Treasure Beach, with accommodation at Jake's Place, a romantic, quite unusual, informal yet elegant hotel, well managed, which embodies the spirit unpretentious. Want, is ideal for couples lounging time with very little but laze in a hammock between bouts of lovemaking.

* Negril is the place for beach-expert favorite, ideal for couples looking for a great beach, water sports, day, and a spicy yetNight unpretentious. There is a wide choice of hotels, including all-inclusive resort for couples only, but also some quality boutique hotels, including the caves of world-class contender for most romantic place in the world.

* Strawberry Hill in the Blue Mountains. Old World atmosphere of modern, combined with experience in this mountain retreat a mile above Kingston. The kitchen is fabulous. There is a huge garden and hiking nearby. Another chic boutiqueOption outpost of Iceland.

* Hedonism II or III (both run by SuperClubs) are almost always fully booked for couples to get their idea of a romantic play naked sexy antics in public, or even parts (literally) with other couples. Yes, many weddings here and often performed in the nude. No permission Puritans!

* Mandeville. This prosperity modest, simple, fast cities in the Central Highlands is located in a breathtaking landscape that recalls the valleys English is set and the bestappreciated by car. The city has many good restaurants, and there are lovely walks on the spot.

* Port Antonio. If you want lush, this is for you, as the area receives large amounts of rainfall, but not all the time. She is known for its fine hotels run the traditional standards, as the slightly off-Trident and Jamaica Palace. My advice is to run both the Hotel Mocking Bird Hill (a charming boutique hotel with eco-sensitive gourmet cuisine, superbowners Shireen Agra and Barbara Walker artsy), or a private villa overlooking the blue lagoon.

NORM:

There are special requirements for couples to celebrate their marriage in Jamaica?

Christophe:

Unlike most Caribbean destinations, visitors can get married after only 24 hours on the island.
